Family art battle
During the spring I and my 7-year-old took an art class together. My struggle with letting go was painfully revealed when Fredrika just jumped right in with both feet. It seems that as a kid you’ve got it, then you lose it and have to spend a lot of time finding it again. So shake loose and go for it!
HERE’S SOME OF OUR ART:
Ink techniques: I drew a woman at the course and Freddie created what could be an Italian fashion editor.
Acrylic painting using different greens: Me an Freddie painted a vase. Then her vase turned into an English garden.
Charcoal study of a cranium: A way to start thinking 3 dimensional and prepare for sculpture lesson.
Clay sculpting: We made portraits of each other. Isn’t Freddie’s lively woman much more fun than my quiet girl?
